EYA showcase 9-18-2022
Location: Jonesboro High School
At EYA we are all about the enhancement and exposure of every student athlete that comes
through our doors.
With this being my first showcase as a member of EYA, I was totally surprised by the number of
players that showed up to Jonesboro High School. The gym was full of college prospects. Here
are a few of the standouts from the Class of 2023 that college coaches should know about.

EYA Hoops Report National Scout
Jaquez Akins /6’1/ G Jonesboro High
Jaquez is a big lefty guard that has the ability to play from the 1 to the 3. He is strong off the dribble and can get wherever he wants to go. He can also shoot the midrange and 3 point jump shots. With his strength and lateral quickness he is a good defender also. All around great player.
Jacob Feagin/6’7/ F Forest Park High
Jacob has a great attitude to go along with all his abilities. Versatility is the word that comes to mind. He is a long player that can play all 5 positions on the court. He showed great touch around the basket and shot the 3 well also. Looking for big things from him this season.
Sincere Love/6’3/ G Morrow High
Sincere stood out at camp because of his quickness and athleticism. The game comes easy to him so sometimes it looks like he’s not going hard. He handles the ball well, shoots the ball well on all levels and he finishes above the rim if he gets a foot in the paint. Should have a breakout season this year.
Kenan Orlovic/6’7/ F Paideia High School
Kenan has a wonderful attitude about the sport of basketball. “Do whatever it takes to win”. He shows this by sacrificing his good perimeter game to play inside for his high school team. Kevin shot the 3 well and cleaned the glass offensively and defensively. This versatile big is one to watch mainly because of how coachable he is.
Kyree Brown/6’1/ PG Woodland High
Kyree is a quiet guy that lets his game speak for him. He has the ability to slow down the game when it gets out of control. He penetrates and passes great but the best part of his game is his midrange shooting. He will also sit down and guard. Kyree is under the radar right now but he should have a breakout season.
Avante Nichols/6’3/ G/F McDonough High
High riser alert. Anyone that know this kid knows the ups, tenacity and love for the game. He is also starting to show a midrange game. With his athleticism and addition of shooting to his game coaches will be chomping at the bit to sign this stat sheet stuffer.
Da’Avion Thomas/6’0/ PG
Returning player of the year in his region, Da’Avion does it all. He picks up on defense 94 feet. He gets his shot off effectively on all levels. He penetrates at will and gets his team involved in the game. His heart and attitude are amazing. No doubt he will have another big year and his team should be successful.
Davarri Barthwell/5’11/ G Dutchtown High
Davarri is one of the fastest players with the ball in the state of GA. He pushes the tempo and gets to the basket at will. Tenacious of defense he gives opponents fits on the ball as well as off the ball in passing lanes. Changes the pace of the game alone.
Roger Williams/6’4/ G Dutchtown High
Roger is a scorer. He can put the ball in the basketball anywhere on the court. He penetrated and finished with either hand. He got in the paint and made pull up jumpers and floaters. He also stretched the floor with his range that is beyond the high school 3 point line. Any coach looking for a scorer would be happy to have him.
Justine Dela Cruz/6’5/ G Trinity Christian
Justine is a leftie that can do everything on the court. He is strong going to the basket and finishes with both hands. He pulls up for the midrange jumpers when the lane is clogged. He also showed the ability to stretch floor by making 3s. He is fundamentally sound and you can tell his father, who is a coach, worked close with him.
Khalif Walston/6’2/ G Morrow High
Khalif is a super fast guard that is smooth on the court. He showed the ability to penetrate and finish as well as penetrate to get teammates open. He also used his athletic ability to wreak havoc on defense by smothering ball handlers and jumping passing lanes. If he puts all this together consistently, his season should be successful.
Georeon Thomas/6’6/ F Woodland High
Georeon is a long player. This helps him achieve success on the court in all aspects. He can defend both guards and inside players. He plays off the ball well and gets help side blocks. He jumps passing lanes with his length. He also rebounds effectively. Georeon showed the ability to finish around the basket as well as pulling up and shooting a nice midrange shot. He is an all around player and is a nice prospect for colleges.
Trenton Wilson/5’8/ PG Hall Dale High
Speedy and tough small guard. He showed the ability to get to spots and knock down shots and also lock up defenders while on defense. He used his speed to make up for his size. Great prospect from the state of Maine.
