EYA Hoops Report Prospect Camp Pt 1

April 17th 2021 prospects from the classes of 2024 – 2021 gathered at Arlington Christian School in south Fulton (GA) for the 6th annual EYA Hoops Report High School Prospect camp. Over the years this event has produced the best talent in the south Atlanta area as well as providing college recruiting for over 80% of athletes who participate.

Notable performers part 1:

Emmanuel Wilkins, Lithonia High school Class of 2021

A great defender who doesn’t back down to any challenge! Brings a lot of vocal energy to the floor with a high IQ which shows leadership ability as well as locker room presence. Can finish and attack the rim well form multiple spots on the floor while taking advantage of the defense to shoot the jump shot in rhythm. Very active hands on the defense end which creates deflections as well as getting steals.

Khole Taylor, Morrow High School Class of 2022

Great finisher at the rim in open space once a counter move is made. Does well going coast to coast, creating attack and passing lanes to create plays. Plays in the gaps defensively, with Taylors 6’4 frame it creates easy passing lane steals which leads to transition baskets. Shoots the ball well off the bounce and in catch & shoot situations.

Eric Stevens, Forest Park High School Class of 2023

If your looking to build a winning program you have to have players like Stevens on your team. Smart player that does all the things to win. Knocks down the open shots consistently, can finish in transition, plays both ends of the floor, to go along with a high IQ. Does all the things that translates over to the college level.

Kobe Cato, Carrollton High School Class 2021

A surprise to player of the day was 6’5 Kobe Cato. Cato has a great build to absorb contact while finishing at the rim, a nice handle to take bigger defenders off the dribble while making big time plays. What stood out the most was his versatility, Cato likes to play inside and out making him a matchup problem for defenders with a GREAT FIRST STEP. If you see Cato attacking the rim you better be careful because he’s looking to punish any defender that wants to jump.
